Japanese name: umibudou, 海ぶどう
English name: sea grapes (literally translates 海: sea, ぶどう: grapes), also sometimes referred to as “green caviar”
Note: this is a type of seaweed that grows in the warm waters of Okinawa. Sea grapes are tiny little bubbles of saltiness that burst in your mouth when you eat them.
